The Laurel Foundation Commemorates World AIDS Day 2024 by Amplifying Hope, Advocacy, and Action

LOS ANGELES — December 1, 2024 — On World AIDS Day, The Laurel Foundation joins the global community in recognizing the theme “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!” This theme underscores the fundamental right of every individual to access healthcare, live free from stigma, and achieve a life of dignity and opportunity.

Aligned with this vision, The Laurel Foundation reaffirms its commitment to empowering children, youth, and families affected by HIV/AIDS through education, advocacy, and transformative programming.

As part of this year’s efforts, The Laurel Foundation is proud to share a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for HIV prevention and awareness. The PSA, created in collaboration with the youth of The Laurel Foundation, highlights the importance of early testing, access to treatment, and the ongoing fight against stigma. It will be shared across digital platforms, social media, and community networks to inspire education and action.

“This year’s theme, ‘Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!’ resonates deeply with our mission,” said Margot Anderson, Founder and CEO of The Laurel Foundation. “By sharing this PSA and engaging with our community, we hope to amplify the message that health is a right—not a privilege—and that everyone deserves access to the resources and support they need to thrive.”

This World AIDS Day let’s work together to ensure a brighter, stigma-free future for all.
